Wastewater

As all wastewater operators know treatment plants are complex and dynamic, so the right experience is crucial to the success of any project. Since 2001, QuEST has helped more than 50 wastewater treatment facilities optimize their processes, thereby cutting energy costs - and in many cases, saving on labor and maintenance costs while eliminating long-standing process problems.

Our wastewater engineers work with plant personnel to perform process audits, install new equipment, and provide operator training on optimized systems. We work hand-in-hand with facility staff to implement new processes and provide comprehensive training to ensure that the system works and the savings will persist. QuEST can help you can take a fresh look at your facility's operational needs using today's technology and treatment process advances.

Past projects have provided funding to upgrade or install new equipment including fine bubble diffusers, dissolved oxygen probes, SCADA systems, timers, VFDs, high-efficiency blowers and other automated controls that tailor the right amount of aeration for plant loadings. Potential for funding is also available for new energy saving technologies, such as solar-powered mixers, fuel cells, and UV disinfection systems to replace older, less efficient systems.

Technology alone does not create efficiency. That is why every solution that QuEST offers is based on a deep understanding of each system's biology; combined with intelligent control systems, the result is better process management and ultimately significant energy savings.

Today, wastewater facilities statewide are enjoying substantially reduced operational costs as a result of improvements recommended by QuEST.
